Nino Bertasio, con 275 colpi (70 73 64 68), ha vinto la gara individuale maschile nella Copa R.C.G Sotogrande European Nations Championship che si è disputata sul percorso del Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, nella città della Costa del Sol in Spagna da cui il circolo prende il nome. E' il secondo successo in campo internazionale dei giocatori italiani nell'arco di una settimana dopo quello di Matteo Delpodio nell'Alps Tour (Peugeot Tour El Escorpion), ma vanno anche ricordati quelli di Andrea Pavan (John Burns Intercollegiate alle Hawaii) e i due di Domenico Geminiani (Florida Junior Tour). Alla vittoria di Bertasio ha fatto da corollario anche la bella prova collettiva della compagine azzurra
